Paper Production

Drying , Predrying and Moisture Control

Casso-Solar electric infrared systems can quickly and efficiently remove water from a paper web after the forming section, within the dryer section, prior to the size press and after the coater. Efficiencies of up to 80% have been documented. With an IR system pickoff on subsequent dryer cans is reduced allowing higher operating temperatures on the dryer cans. Discrete zone control across the web can even out moisture profiles with automatic control from mositure monitoring equipment.

Used as a preheater before a flotation dryer, coatings can be set to reduce orange peel and increase the production/performance of the overall system. All systems custom designed to meet your production requirements.

Paper Converting, Coating & Printing

On paper, film, foil and plastics, coatings are quickly dried by safely removing solvents or water. Can be used prior to existing convection/floatation dryers to raise the coating and base material quickly to the dry/cure temperature or a combination infrared/air system can be designed for difficult products. Precise process control is achieved with closed loop feedback from non-contact web temperature sensors. Profile control available.

Plastics and Film

Preheating, Laminating and Embossing

Preheat base materials and adhesives for laminating dissimilar materials together. Precisely heat plastic or film for embossing and high grain retention. Preheat film for stretching, coating and laminating. Fast responding, high density electric infrared heaters respond to line speed and product fluctuations to insure quality.
