Casso-Solar Corporation, originally known as Cahnman Associates, was founded in 1960 by Hugo N. Cahnman, to focus in applied electric infrared heating and heat processing systems. Mr. Cahnman served the heat processing industry with conventional type heaters for many years prior to specializing in infrared with Casso-Solar.

In the 1960's, infrared heat processing systems were in their infancy. The technology was limited to metal sheath heaters, simple tubular quartz heaters and lamps, and inefficient gas infrared heaters. Mr. Cahnman recognized the value of infrared technology for industrial process applications and brought to the market the first high output, high efficiency flat quartz panel heater. The Casso-Solar Infrared Heater was the first infrared electric heater that was compact, efficient, easy to install, easy to control and provided excellent operating life.

Over the years additional highly efficient, quartz infrared heaters were developed and offered to the market. In the early 1970's, Casso-Solar Corporation added its own complete in-house engineering staff and equipment manufacturing capabilities. The goal was to design cost effective, efficient, reliable, and safe systems producing a quality result on the customer’s product. Using the latest test equipment, our engineering staff worked with each customer in our laboratory, to develop the most efficient/cost effective approach for each product.

In time, Casso-Solar grew with 3 moves to larger facilities. We are presently located in a 25,000 square foot building on an 8 acre campus, just 35 minutes north west of New York City. In 2001, Casso-Solar earned the quality status of ISO9001. Equipment is built to comply with Underwriters Laboratories (UL), NFPA, CE (European Standards), National Electric Code (NEC), Factory Mutual (FM), IRI and OSHA. Continuous improvement is not just the company ethic, it is our company history.
